NOTICE TO PARK GUESTS!

Temporary Closure of Pine Bridge

We would like to inform our valued park guests that Pine Bridge is currently closed due to an identified area of concern.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this temporary closure is an important step in our ongoing efforts to protect species at risk and preserve the natural integrity of the area.
Please note the North Loop is closed  (where pine bridge is located) off of the Mazhenazing Access trail and at Turkes Rd. During this time, we kindly ask all visitors to continue using the main trailhead entrance and follow Mervs Landing to the lakefront to Mervs East to get to Recollet Summit. From the lake, take the Merv’s East Landing trail, which conveniently reconnects near the end of Turks Road, and crosses the road to the existing trail back up to the summit. Hikers will have to follow Turkes Rd back to Mervs East trail if continuing down the summit and double back to the trailhead.
Miigwetch/Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to ensure the safety of both our visitors and our protected ecosystems.

Important Update!!!

🌲 Opening Weekend is Here! 🏕️

We are excited to welcome you back for another camping season.

🏕️ All trails are open for day use and backcountry. 🚶‍♂️🛶

🛠️ We wanted to take this time to share some important information on the Parks construction plans and how it will effect operations. As you are aware we are currently in the process of an $8 Million construction plan to complete our Eco Resort & Campground by 2027. 🏗️ The Park will be under construction Monday to Friday beginning May 26 until July 14. 📅

❄️ This past winter we constructed the new Mahzenazing Lake Road including access to our new Lakefront Recreational area. 🛣️ We were expecting to have this open by opening weekend but delays in construction due to the extreme winter conditions and half load restrictions have caused some delays. As a result we are anticipating the Lakefront Road will open July 4. 🇨🇦

⚠️ For guest safety and visitor experience we have made the tough decision to open the campground on weekends only until June 27. ⛺ The gatehouse will also have limited spring hours and will be open Wednesday to Sunday until June 27, at which time we will commence summer hours. 🕐

🚧 There will be periodic closures of sections of day-use trail and the lake front recreational area during construction. All backcountry paddlers will be encouraged to utilize our shuttle service beforehand and all backcountry trippers are asked to park in designated areas at the Gatehouse. 🅿️ Specific dates and detailed locations on closures will be released once they become available. 📢

🚿 A Friendly reminder all campground visitors have access to showers, and trailer pump-out service at Killarney Provincial Park with a valid PGP permit. 🧼🚍

🙏 We’re grateful for your understanding and support during this time and we look forward to hosting you for another camping season. 🌞🌳
