Temporary Closure of Pine Bridge
We would like to inform our valued park guests that Pine Bridge is currently closed due to an identified area of concern.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this temporary closure is an important step in our ongoing efforts to protect species at risk and preserve the natural integrity of the area.
Please note the North Loop is closed (where pine bridge is located) off of the Mazhenazing Access trail and at Turkes Rd. During this time, we kindly ask all visitors to continue using the main trailhead entrance and follow Mervs Landing to the lakefront to Mervs East to get to Recollet Summit. From the lake, take the Merv’s East Landing trail, which conveniently reconnects near the end of Turks Road, and crosses the road to the existing trail back up to the summit. Hikers will have to follow Turkes Rd back to Mervs East trail if continuing down the summit and double back to the trailhead.
Miigwetch/Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to ensure the safety of both our visitors and our protected ecosystems.
